Hillcrest at a glance

Hillcrest is situated in the Valley of a 1000 Hills  which is located 37km inland from Durban and approximately 60km from the new King Shaka International Airport. It was named Hillcrest due to its location on the crest of a hill.

Over the years, Hillcrest has become a booming suburb of the Upper Highway Area and has become self-sufficient with established facilities such as schools, churches, shopping centres, a private hospital and more recently, commercial office parks.

Due to the development of the many residential estates in the area like Plantations in Hillcrest, demand from local business people to either purchase their own office space or to rent office space within the area has increased with demand far outweighing supply.

Developers have cottoned onto this demand which has seen a marked increase in the number of new office developments in the area. Recently completed office developments include: 22 On Main situated along Old Main Road in Hillcrest and The Brook Office Park on Old Main Road in Gillitts. Meyrickton Office Park on the corner of Meyrickton Place and Old Main Road in Hillcrest is scheduled for completion end of October 2017.

A number of new office developments are on the cards for 2017 and these include Braehead Office Park, Delamore Office Park and Loundon Park. These offices can either be purchased off-plan for owner occupation or as investment units  where we are able to assist investors to find suitable tenants for occupation.

Industrial premises are few and far between in Hillcrest, with only Hillcrest Centre offering a handful of mini warehouses or motor repair shops.
